PROJECT 1 - POINTS AND LINES

Under Project 1 We have learn the basic which is point and lines.

Points:

-2 ends of line

- intersection of 2 line

Lines- point

- length

- direction

- position

Exercise 1 with the combination of line and point

2 D

- Express as flat planes which have length and worth but no depth

- Two lines join and create an angle between them

3 D

- Add the dimension of depth or height to describe objects with volume.

- As the interval between a series of lines , a rhythm is create.

Plane & Void

After lecturer class by miss , I understand that

Plane - is a surface that has width and length only .

Void - created by combination of plane which have depth.

There are 3 types of plane which is overhead plane , wall plane and base plane.

Normally overhead and wall plane creates 'void'. Void function as

Exercise 2

We are required to build model on the city map. Using the points, line , plane and void to build on the city map .

Rhythm and Repetition

- Repetition refers to repeating visual elements such as texture . It can take the form of duplicate pattern with variety.

- Rhythm is repetition or alternation of elements. It can create sense of movement in photograph.

- Regular rhythm

- Flowing rhythm

- Random rhythm

- Alternating rhythm

Unity and variety

-Unity occurs when all of the elements combined to make a balance , harmonious , complete whole.

- Variety is sense of differences in term of shapes, colours, values or other element .

- Composition is combination of multiple parts into a unified whole using elements and principles of design.

We need to create an emotional space to combine the rhythm become unity.
