Today Lecture class is the topic of postmodernism , same as last week Mr. Choy explain this topic. Mr. Charles also give some feedback to my essay .

Postmodernism is like a mental game. It overturned the idea that there was one inherent meaning to a work of art. Instead, viewer became an important determiner of meaning. Artist went further by creating works that required viewer intervention to create or complete the work. By the way dadaism, surrealism , pop art and conceptualism , appropriation and decollage are under postmodernism .

I remember Mr. Choy told us a famous artist at her exhibition , she as an art work . She leave it up to the audience to do an art work on her body. She felt really violated because they cut up her clothes, stuck rose thorns in my stomach , one person aimed the gun at her head, and another took it away. It create an aggressive atmosphere. Another examples is the Italian artist Piero Manzoni he create each signed and numbered can of crap be sold for its weight in gold. We all was shocked.

- Mr Charles gives me a feedback to my draft of essay. He said that my essay is not clear on this art movement so need to add something more specific. My citation is also have problem so i need to check again.

This is all for today's Lecture. I think that postmodernism can also be a critical project, revealing the cultural constructions we designate as truth. Artist create the artwork that we could not imagine and we maybe need to interact with artist by their artwork. It is very unique.
