Week 2 - Briefing Assignment 1

Today class is briefing about assignment 1, food and modernism .

I bring keropok to school because this is my hometown food and i want to let my foreigner friends to taste it . Among all the foods they bring , Pakistan and Yemen food was delicious . Pakistan food that they bring is like chapati in Malaysia but their sauce is very nice . I like it so much and I ate a few pieces of it and another is Yemen food . I do no what is the ingredients but it taste not bad also .

Mr.Charles is briefing on the assignment 1 which is related to art movement research paper. Arghhhhh!!!! Assignment this mean start of the semester. We have no time to sleep start from today.

BRIEF: Step 01: Conduct a brief study on the following topics and make some comparison. Then select one of the art movements.:

1. Surrealism

2. Neorealism

3. Kitsch

4. Dadaism

5. Expressionism

6. Modernism vs Post Modernism

Step 02: Once selected, search for a movie old, retro or new which has strong influence from one of the art movements you have chosen from above. However, they may have been influenced by several of the above as well but the one you selected is largely emphasized. Pick any movie from the genre below:

1. Art Cinema

2. Film Noir

3. Science Fiction

4. Erotica

5. Avant Garde

I have do some research on those art movement because i still not clearly understand all the art movement. I have many choices of the art movement , i would like to choose surrealism and Dr. Stranger as surrealism movie but at last i choose modernism as my art movement and i have choose a movie which is Winter's Bone , main cast is Jennifer Lawrence. I choose this movie because it shows the impact of modernism clearly.
